Heart & Home

Heart & Home

Welcome to Casa de Pate

Somewhere between chasing my little ones around the house, folding yet another load of laundry, and sipping on my (probably cold) coffee, I decided to start a boutique. It wasn’t a grand, well-thought-out plan—it was simply something I loved.

Casa de Pate began as a home decor and gift boutique because home has always been at the center of who I am. I love creating spaces that feel warm and welcoming, and I hope to share some of that passion with you here on this blog. Not because I want the world to see it, but simply because I love it.

But like so many things in life, my boutique started shifting. What began as a home decor shop slowly (and then quickly) grew into a children’s boutique and gift shop. At first, I wrestled with that change. I kept wondering if it was too much of a mix—too many different things under one roof. But over time, I realized that what I was really doing was curating a space that reflected the things I truly love. And that’s what makes it special to me.

A Boutique That Feels Like Home

I don’t have a five-year plan for Casa de Pate. I don’t know exactly where this journey will take me, and to be honest, I don’t think too far ahead because running a retail business is hard. There are so many things I’ve had to learn, and I take it one day at a time. But what keeps me going—the part that inspires me the most—is the community.

I love the connections I’ve made through this boutique. I love meeting other moms, swapping stories, and just sharing in this crazy, beautiful season of life together. I want Casa de Pate to be a place where you can find something special—a quality pajama set for your little one, a timeless piece for their wardrobe—but more than that, I want it to feel like a place where you’re known and valued. I’m not trying to be the biggest or the best boutique in town. I just want to create something meaningful, something that feels right.

Why This Blog?

There are so many blogs, so many influencers, and let me just say—this isn’t about that.

For the longest time, I felt like I had to fit into a certain mold, to be good at certain things just because they seemed inspiring or successful for other people. I’ve tried writing blogs before—about outfits, about things I thought I should love—but the truth is, that’s just not me. I love seeing people who are gifted in that, but I also know now that it’s okay for that not to be my thing.

The more I’ve let go of trying to be something I’m not, the more I’ve been able to embrace what I am passionate about—creating, connecting, sharing, and building a space that feels like home. And I think so many women are walking a similar journey, wondering, Who am I? What is my purpose?

That’s part of what I hope this blog can be—a space to explore those questions, to embrace what we are gifted in, and to find joy in the things that are uniquely us.

So, this blog is for you, but it’s also a little piece of my heart, too.

Thanks for being here. I hope this space feels like home.
